An Apple Pie Oatmeal that gives the same feeling of warm apple pie but for breakfast! What could be better! After a few tries, this recipe is absolutely scrumptious!
On my health website, tammyseedhealth.com I have written about my personal journey alot.
It helped many women to know that they are not the only ones suffering. I say women because as a Holistic Nutritional Clinical Practitioner I have specialized in working with women that are struggling with their health over the last few years.
When Anthony and I started Couple Of Seeds, I was adamant that it be strictly about food and easy to access recipes. I didn't want it to be one of those recipe blogs where you go to find a recipe but have to read through a pile of content to get there.
The more that we build this vegan recipe website, the more I feel how special it is. Not the recipes... although, we think ours are the best!
Honestly, there are hundreds of amazing sites already online and books in the bookstores full of food recipes. The fact that you are here reading our means more than you can imagine to us.
We are certainly not the first to start a food blog...
For me, all these recipes mean so much more than the basic simplicity of cultivating and writing a worthy recipe post that people will like and try out.
These recipes represent our personal struggles with food and WHY we feel food is so important!
When Anthony and I met I had severe candida/yeast issues and we began to limit all sorts of foods. I was down to salad essentially.
Is the fear of food really a thing?
After that, I developed a fear of food. I was literally terrified to eat. I feared what symptom would come next...
Fear of food is a very real thing:
Cibophobia is defined as the fear of food. People with cibophobia often avoid food and drinks because they’re afraid of the food itself. The fear may be specific to one type of food, such as perishable foods, or it may include many foods.Healthline
After the birth of Ryleigh, more health issues came for me. I studied food more and more. Then, I spent a couple of years on GAPS, after that a year as a committed vegan and then gluten and dairy-free for years.
I was obsessed with learning WHY my body was not doing well.
Finally, after more courses, books, and studying; I realized it wasn't about the food BUT about the food and MY body.
I am NOT a doctor but as someone that studies nutrition, I concluded that meat, fruit, veggies, grain, whatever the food; that if the person's body isn't absorbing and digesting those foods, they can all cause issues...
It became less about which foods were healthy and more about which healthy foods are healthy for a particular person.
We love vegan food and we believe that everyone could afford to eat more vegetables but we certainly don't think it is the only way.
Sharing facts, why certain foods may or may help, and information is all apart of our journey, our love for food, and why we are pouring our time into this website!
