Apple Pie Oatmeal

I love oatmeal in the morning. When I am in a rush I like to throw in a few quick oats (GF) for a quick breakfast full of fiber to kick start my morning.
I tend to put in some fruit and a bit of maple syrup but for this recipe, I decided to kick it up a notch. I had some apples to use up and I thought, why not create some apple pie flavors in my oatmeal?

  • 1 apple sliced and diced. I used Saprtan for this recipe.
  • 1 tablespoon vegan butter
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon ground
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger chopped
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • cup peanuts or any nut
  • ¼ cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice


  • Add apple, lemon juice, and butter in a saute pan and cook over medium heat for 3 minutes.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients and saute for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Cook oats according to package directions.
